Conventionally, we tend to use words like, “faith”, “spirituality”, “belief” and “religion” interchangeably and, generally speaking, there isn’t anything wrong with that. But it may interest you to know that for those who study the psychology of religion, these words do have different meanings. More than just an academic distinction, these differences can actually be quite enlightening and helpful for you in making clearer sense out of the different aspects of your own faith journey. Let’s look at some of the differences between these common terms.
Faith-- Most of us think of “faith” in supernatural terms, as in “faith in God.” This is actually more of what psychologists of religion would call “belief” (see below). Faith, from a more naturalistic, psychological perspective, is merely the innate drive to search for meaning, purpose and significance. ...

"MY FAITH IS IN GOD—THE UNCHANGING SOURCE OF ALL GOOD".. Wherever I am, God is present. Whether I travel to foreign lands, or I move about my tasks at home or work, the same Infinite Source is readily available. Change may come to relationships, careers, homes, or even to my physical body. Everything around me may change, but my faith remains focused. If I sense something is amiss, it’s my cue that my attention has drifted. In prayerful meditation, I return to my center. God is my health, my guidance, my comfort, my strength. God is all this and more. Faith reminds me of all the blessings I have received and assures me of the continued flow from my Source. "If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast." —Psalm 139:9-10 #Namaste 👼😇👼 www.planettruth.weebly.com source: www.dailyword.com A goddess is a woman who emerges from deep within herself. She is a woman who has honestly explored her darkness and learned to celebrate her light. She is a woman who is able to fall in love with the magnificent possibilities within herself. She is a woman who knows of the magic and mysterious places inside herself, the sacred places that can nurture her soul and make her whole. She is a woman who radiates light. She is magnetic. She walks into a room and male and female alike feel her presence. She has power and softness at the same time. She has powerful sexual energy that's not dependent on physical looks. She has a body that she adores and it shows by the way she comfortably lives and moves in it. She cherishes beauty, light, and love. She is a mother to all children. She flows with life in effortless grace. She can heal with a look or a touch of the hand. She is fiercely sensual and fearlessly erotic and engages in sex as her way to share with another in touching the Divine. She is compassion and wisdom. She is a seeker of Truth and cares deeply about something bigger than herself. She is a woman who knows that her purpose in life is to reach higher and rule with love. She is a woman in love with love. She knows that joy is her destiny and by embracing it and sharing it with others, wounds are healed. She is a woman who has come to know that her partner is as tender, lost, and frightened as she has been at times. She has come to understand the scars of the boy in him and knows that together, love can be the relief, the healing of their wounds. She is a woman who can accept herself as she is. She can accept another as they are.
She is able to forgive her mistakes and not feel threatened by another's even when attacked. She is a woman who can ask for help when she needs it or give help when asked. She respects boundaries, hers and another's. She can see God in another's eyes. She can see God in her own. She can see God in every life situation. She is a woman who takes responsibility for everything she creates in her life. She is a woman who is totally supportive and giving. She is a Goddess. Today’s reading is a reminder of the light in each of us. It is also a reminder that our light is a gift that can flicker when not protected. Sowilo is the Sun Rune. Like a warm summer day, it illuminates our lives and provides clarity, energy, and warm light. It reminds us that somewhere deep inside is a powerful being that is on a divine path, capable of handling whatever the universe is willing to throw at them. Consistent awareness of this power leads to success in the long term, and provides us the faith to maintain that path before it is fully illuminated. Tiwaz is the warrior rune, which we have seen a lot of lately. It is the namesake of Tyr, the mythical warrior that allowed his own hand to be eaten by the giant wolf Fenris in order to capture it. It reminds us both of the strength of the warrior and their willingness to sacrifice parts of themselves for others. Tiwaz reversed carries a warning against involvement. It suggests that we do not go running straight into the battle and put ourselves at great risk. Perhaps this is the time to use your warrior energy for protection. The wisest of warriors aims to preserve peace through strategy and cooperation. They render war and battle unnecessary by remaining in their own power, tending to their needs and the needs of those who they fight for. As we consider our intentions for the day, consider your own source and connection to light and how it may be vulnerable. Protect it with love, care, and discipline, and it will always be there to serve you. Be cognizant of your own physical safety and security around your home and family. The world needs your light, and it is up to you to protect and preserve it. Alistair & Forest 4/13/2016 | Spirit Science |
