Lesson 3: Know Less and Less
“In the pursuit of learning, every day something is acquired. In the pursuit of Tao, every day something is dropped.” – Lao Tse (Chapter 48, Lao Te Ching)
We really don’t want you to participate in these lessons and go away stuffed with a whole set of principles, learnings, and knowledge. What we want is something greater than that. We want you to let go. We want you to be dropping away concepts. This is a very different approach. The idea of letting go is very strange to us, because our society teaches us to acquire. The more we have the more secure we will be.
“If you have the choice of the divine knowing or the divine unknowing, take the divine unknowing. As soon as you know, you have to take responsibility for all the actions. As soon as you don’t know, you still are open to receive of the grace of that.” – John-Roger
